BBQ Chicken Pizza

This is another pizza idea.  Easy to make, this is my favorite pizza flavor.  I only had a white onion around, try red onion, it tastes a lot better.

Ingredients:
1 loaf of Rhoades Bread Dough
2 chicken breasts, sliced and cooked
1 cup barbecue sauce
Thin onion slices, around 6 slices, red onion is best
1 1/2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded

Let the Rhoades bread dough thaw and rise.  Stretch out over a round pizza pan.  Top with sauce, add cheese, chicken and onions.  Bake at 350 degrees for about 40 minutes or until golden brown.

*Use your favorite barbecue sauce.  I like to mix it up by using something flavored.  On this one I used a maple apple bbq sauce from Williams Sonoma

Margherita Pizza

This is an extremely easy pizza to make.  Use it as an appetizer, snack, or add to a meal.

Ingredients:
1 loaf Rhodes bread dough, thawed
1 tomato
1 cup mozerella cheese
3 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon basil, chopped
2 teaspoons chopped garlic
Basil to garnish

Stretch out the bread dough as thin as possible.  Put onto a pizza tray.  Brush thin layer of olive oil over the dough, top with basil and garlic.  Sprinkle cheese and add sliced tomato.  Top by drizzling the remainder of the olive oil and top with fresh chopped basil.  Bake at 350 until the cheese is bubbling.

Serve hot out of the oven.

Easy Calzones!

Feel free to add whatever you would like in your calzone.  The one that I made for the blog was pepperoni.  Get creative!  Add whatever you would like.  Note that if you are using vegetable, be careful not to add too many, it will make your calzone watery.

Ingredients:

1 loaf of Rhodes frozen bread dough

1 small can of tomato paste

1 cup mozerella cheese

Pepperoni

1 1/2 tablespoons pizza seasoning

1 teaspoon of garlic powder

1 teaspoon olive oil

1 tablespoon shredded Parmesan cheese

Let the rhodes bread dough un-thaw in the refrigerator over night.  Stretch the dough out onto a cookie sheet.  Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

In a bowl, mix together tomato paste, garlic and pizza seasoning.

Spread paste onto one half of the spread out dough, then add a layer of pepperoni, 1/2 the cheese.  Layer again with pepperoni and then the rest of the cheese.

Fold the other half of the dough over the ingredients you just added.  Fold the dough in around the edge to form a half circle.

Brush the top with olive oil and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.

Place in the middle of the oven until golden brown.
